His sound has never been more optimized than here, as if all his usual elements of UK Funky, Hard Drum, Jungle and Techno had been distilled into a powerful, crystalline concoction primed for the dancefloor.
These tracks are not meant for home listening, but any DJ worth their salt will recognize their immediate power: every last drop of impact and effect has been squeezed from each element, every new hi-hat or hand percussion heightens the intensity of the loop. The tracks are the opposite of progressive; they seem content to stay where they are and placidly explore the grooves' every crevice and nook.
