Over & Done

A 4 track uk funky single (20m 21s) — released February 6th 2012 on Infinite Machine

Meet Bwana. His tunes started racking up plays and conversations commenced with new music buddies XI, Submerse and DJD. A variety of different 130bpm sounds were toyed with from dubstep, garage, 2 step, 808 dubstep and his very own mashes of R&B-lead garage-step. It all seemed to work. A bunch of labels got in touch and tracks were signed to Mad Decent and Montreal based Infinite Machine. Bwana moved to Leeds in Sept '11 where he was surprised to hear his tunes on BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM. His inbox started filling up with show offers from hungry promoters from all around the UK and Europe. All of these were turned down as Bwana decided to stay back in his room and focus on perfecting his studio productions. His Debut EP released on Infinite Machine caused thousands of downloads in the first week. Bwana finally made his live debut at a string of sold out shows in Dec '11 at some of Toronto's biggest dance music venues alongside the likes of Zeds Dead and Kevin Mcphee. Now he has DJ support from Sepalcure to Gilles Peterson. Not a bad 12 months for a 21 year old who this time last year he didn't even know how to work a sampler(?).
